The beauty of humanity

It was cold outside and had been raining all morning. The passengers on 341 bus felt the chilly air rush in as the doors opened to let another passenger in. From his appearance, he seemed like a homeless guy. He was poorly dressed, and his feet were wrapped in plastic bags.

As he sat down on an empty seat, avoiding eye contact with the people already on the bus and all looking in his direction, a young man of about 28 on his way home from the mosque took off his shoes and socks and handed them to the homeless man.

“Here you go, mate; I only live 2 minutes walk from the bus stop, so I shall be ok.”.

And with that, he got off the bus and walked home barefoot.

The incident was photographed by another passenger, who shared it, saying it strengthened his faith in humanity.
