Reform UK leader Nigel Farage visited Florida’s Mar-a-Lago resort over the weekend to lobby Donald Trump against the UK’s agreement ceding Chagos Archipelago sovereignty to Mauritius while leasing back the vital Diego Garcia base for 99 years at £3.4 billion. He had an informal invitation from a club member and expected to dine there, but Trump shifted to his Doral resort instead, leaving no meeting. Critics online mocked the trip as a snub showing Farage’s fading influence.
The Clacton Resident’s Association, who have searched high and low for their MP since he was elected, decided to look further afield. Lo and behold, they found him after a tip-off from tens of millions of people.
Listen to the voices and thou shalt find.
