The NHS is superb, don’t let anyone persuade you otherwise!

I know this isn’t a Dorset report, but Cumbria is another largely rural county most likely with similar issues.

Last Friday evening I noticed a sudden lack of central vision in my right eye.

I phoned NHS 111 and was advised to immediately attend A&E at nearby West Cumberland Hospital.

I was seen by a nurse and then a doctor in less than half an hour and given a next day appointment to see an on-call eye specialist at Carlisle Hospital.

At mid-day on Saturday I saw an excellent eye specialist, had a full examination and a retinal scan. I have apparently developed a macular hole and need an operation. I was told this should happen in the next 2 or 3 months.

Our NHS is suffering from insufficient funding, Cumbria is currently £45 million in the red! The NHS is also suffering from unjustified attacks on it’s efficacy. In my opinion these are deliberate ploys by our current government to justify privatisation.

PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!!
