THEFT OF WALLET IN WEYMOUTH – CCTV APPEAL

Police investigating a wallet theft at a store in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward – with a CCTV image of the suspect being released.

At around 2.22pm on Sunday 20 December 2015, a man left his wallet on the counter at McColls newsagents in Portland Road.

He returned to discover the wallet, which contained a large quantity of cash, was missing.

Police Constable Tom Legg, of Weymouth police, said: “As part of my investigations I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man to please call me on 101.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 21:108. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
