Bridport Electric Palace begins the year with comedy in the shape of anarchic cook George Egg and then big names Rob Beckett and Russell Kane.

George Egg, whose Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe shows have been complete sell-outs, appears on Saturday 21 January. Tickets are just £5 plus booking fee.

Rob Beckett brings his brand new Mouth of the South tour to Bridport on Wednesday 22 March. Tickets are £16 plus booking fee.

Then on Saturday 6 May, it’s the turn of multi-award winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter Russell Kane. Tickets are £17 plus booking fee.

Henning Wehn’s recent appearance at the Palace was a sell-out within days of going on sale, so booking online via www.electricpalace.org.uk or through Bridport Tourist Information Centre is advised.

If you like food and cooking then you’ll like George Egg. His show is a cocktail of stand-up comedy, striking innovation and extreme multi-tasking.

George spends a lot of time staying in hotels and some years ago, unimpressed with room service, he took matters into his own hands. Whilst performing a mind-bendingly original show of comedy-cum-illustrated-lecture George prepares a three-course meal on the equipment hotels unwittingly provide (iron, kettle, trouser press…), and if you want to, you can taste it at the end.

Rob Beckett’s back with a brand-new show of funnies and he’s taking on the big issues like Kit Kats and flatbread. Star of BBC1’s Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Cats Does Countdown, BBC2’s Mock The Week, ITV’s Play To The Whistle, and ITV2’s Celebrity Juice, Rob is also a host of Dave’s podcast, The Magic Sponge, alongside Jimmy Bullard and Ian Smith, as well as hosting Absolute Radio’s hit show, Rock n Roll Football.

‘There are hints that his eyes are set firmly on arenas that are as big as his mouth of his.’ Metro

In a brand new show, Russell Kane unleashes another blisteringly-funny, award-winning stand-up performance about growing up and growing down.

Are you 16-years-old, yet feel 21? Are you 40, but tragically faking 25? Or maybe you’re full-on 80 years, with the heart of three oxen and the sex drive of a bonobo chimp. Don’t worry: this is normal. No one is ever the ‘right’ age – it’s is the beauty and the curse of being a real person.

Multi-award winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter Russell Kane is best known as the host of three series of BBC3‘s Live At The Electric, regular appearances on BBC1’s Live At Apollo, BBC3’s Unzipped, ITV2’s Celebrity Juice and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now! Most recently, Russell travelled the world with YouTube stars filming the new survival programme, Stupid Man, Smart Phone, which is available on BBC iPlayer.

Russell was nominated four times for prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Awards before winning Best Show in 2010. He then went onto make history as the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in one year. His second DVD Russell Kane Live was recorded in the West End at the Vaudeville Theatre and released by Universal Pictures in 2015. Famed for his critically acclaimed tours Russell has been performing sell-out shows across the globe.
