Today the Marine Policing Team conducted coastal patrol around Poole Harbour and towards Weymouth. Then whilst in the area call received via Coastguard regarding a male who was believed to have fallen into the water on the Quayside.

Attended in company with Ambulance DSAA Air Ambulance, the Coastguard Rescue Team, Harbour Staff and our Weymouth and Portland Police Colleagues.

Sadly despite the best efforts of all the man died at scene.

His next of kin have been informed and thoughts are with them.

The Quay was closed to traffic for a short period of time but has now reopened.
