Two males sought following nasty assault in Weymouth

Detectives are issuing CCTV images of two people they would like to identify as they continue to investigate an assault in Weymouth town centre.

At around 3.55am on Saturday 2 December 2023 a man aged in his 40s was assaulted by two male suspects in Maiden Street, near to the junction with St Alban Street. He was punched and kicked and sustained a fractured jaw as a result of the incident.

Detective Constable Stuart Goatley, of Dorset County CID, said: “This was a nasty assault and we are continuing to explore all available lines of enquiry to identify those involved.

“I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of two individuals we would like to identify and would urge anyone with information regarding their identify to please contact us.”
