Officers investigating a report of sexual assault in Gillingham are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 5.35pm on Friday 4 February 2022 the victim, an 18-year-old woman, was approached by two men as she walked along Shaftesbury Road, near to Park Villas, in the town.

One of the men engaged her in conversation and another grabbed her hand and kissed her on the hand before putting his arms around her and attempting to kiss her on the lips before she pushed the man away.

The two men had a grey Staffy-type dog with them.

Police Constable Tina Stratford, of North Dorset police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident. As part of our investigation we have obtained an image of a man we would like to speak to.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please come forward.”
