Following two public consultation events staged in early December, Wessex Delivery has analysed feedback and can confirm that two formal planning applications to the relevant local authorities have now been submitted.

The twin applications have taken into consideration comments received from Weymouth Football Club, the public and other key stakeholders. Plans have been revised accordingly. They seek consent for Weymouth Football Club to be relocated to a new modern community stadium at Lodmoor, and an enabling development of up to 170 residential properties on the Wessex site, which incorporates the current Bob Lucas Stadium

Despite significant consultation with all key stakeholders over many months, the team of planning consultants, architects and directors behind the schemes continue to welcome open dialogue with any interested party surrounding the proposals. Further public consultation will be administered through the council’s own planning process.

All details surrounding both applications can be viewed at www.wessexdelivery.co.uk. To make any comments or to ask further questions, please email [email protected].
