The Weymouth BID will launch “Freaky Streets” a Halloween celebration providing lots of fun activities for the Half Term break in October.  Freaky Streets follows on from the very successful Halloween Spooktacular which was held in 2013.

Visitors to the event will be invited to take part in a hunt for “Freaky Friends” around the town starting on 25th October and ending on “Freaky Friday”, 31st October when a host of “Freaky” themed happenings will keep families entertained between 10am and 4pm, including Freaky skateboarding and workshop, storytelling,  balloon making, and hula hoop displays as well as a chance for children to join in pavement art, freaky circus skills, plus a freaky fancy dress competition.  The “Freaky Streets Trail” forms will be available to download from the new WeAreWeymouth.co.uk website nearer the time.

Businesses will be invited to create the Best Freaky Window Display which will be judged by the public and will encourage staff to join in the fun by dressing up for Freaky Friday.

Weymouth businesses should contact Paul Mills at the Weymouth BID office 01305  779410 or email [email protected] if they would like to take part in the event.

Nigel Reed, Weymouth BID Manager said “ We have lots of exciting new additions to this year’s Freaky Streets event and the BID directors have been working very hard to ensure that they are adding value to the event by attracting more visitors to the town and providing first class entertainment for the whole family.”
