Yesterday’s match with Yeovil Town was abandoned following an emergency in the stands. An air ambulance landed on the pitch and took the casualty to hospital

Weymouth Football Club has now released the following statement:.

Following the abandonment of yesterday’s fixture with Yeovil Town, we can confirm that the match is now being investigated by the National League and the FA. Once they have concluded that investigation and informed us of the next steps, we will report back to supporters.

Our thoughts remain with the individual involved, who we understand to be in hospital receiving the best possible care.
