Weymouth and Portland Pride CIC are planning a brand new event for Weymouth this summer – the very first annual Pride!

The event will take place July 26th-28th and promises to be a celebration of equality, diversity, community and all that this great area has to offer. The weekend of events is expected to attract thousands of visitors eager to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Weymouth and Portland Pride – with the support of The Closet and Weymouth College – have created a stellar line-up on the event’s main site at Radipole Park and there will be numerous pop up Pride events across the town.

Festivities will begin on Friday 26th with an open air cinema night of classic family movies supported by the Dorset Echo.

Saturday 27th July will see Weymouth College – supported by Wessex FM – host the grand opening ceremony with live performances from College students and special guests.

The Pride Parade will leave Weymouth College and travel down the seafront to the Pavilion.

The Pride Festival gates will open at Radipole Park at 12pm for a day and evening of live music, tribute, cabaret and celebrity headline acts all to be announced very soon!

The Festival will close at 9.30pm ready for fireworks on the beach!

Sunday will see another great day at Radipole Park – supported by AIR 107.2 – music, family entertainment, food stalls, bars and much more!

Pride would love to hear from any performers, dance organisations, fitness groups, charities, businesses, schools or community groups interested in joining the parade.
