Officers investigating an assault in Branksome are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At 1.40am on Wednesday 1 January 2020 it was reported that an altercation occurred in the car park of Branksome Liberal Club on Salisbury Road. A woman – aged in her 50s – was then approached from behind by another woman who began to kick her to the ground on the road outside the club.

The victim was then kicked in the head. She sustained a slight concussion and bruising as a result of the assault.

The offender is described as aged in her early 20s, around five feet seven inches tall, of slim build and with long, dark, curly hair. She was wearing a polo neck jumper and tartan skirt.

Police Constable Cara Bradley, of Dorset police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and are making enquiries to identify the woman responsible.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.”
