Detectives investigating an assault in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At approximately 12.10am on Tuesday 20 August 2019 a 17-year-old was walking with his friends on Namu Road when an altercation took place at the junction of Greenwood Road involving a group of four men aged in their late teens.

The victim was hit in the face with a glass object and sustained injuries that required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Luke Davis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am carrying out a number of enquiries to establish exactly what happened and I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen either group of teenagers in the area leading up the incident.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact Dorset Police.”
