Detectives investigating a reported serious assault in Poole are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Dorset Police was called at 12.20am on Sunday 19 May 2019 to reports of a stabbing outside The Cabin in Old Orchard.

A local man aged in his 30s sustained stab injuries to his back and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not described as life-threatening.

A 22-year-old- Bournemouth man and a 24-year-old man of no fixed abode have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and are assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Ben Swain, of Bournemouth CID, said: “A full investigation is underway into this incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the Old Orchard area at the relevant time and either saw or heard something suspicious to please contact Dorset Police.”
