Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a reported stabbing in Boscombe.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.30pm yesterday, Friday 27 July 2018, that a man had been found with stab wounds in Christchurch Road, near to the junction with Gloucester Road.

The man reported that he had been attacked by two men who were known to him in a nearby alleyway, which leads to Corpus Christi Church. His injuries are not believe to be life threatening.

A 31-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and is assisting detectives with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Jane Millard, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident, including house to house and exploring CCTV opportunities in the area.

“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about this incident to please contact us.”
