Witnesses sought following serious collision near Bere Regis

Officers investigating a collision in Bere Regis are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At approximately 12pm on Sunday 16 July 2023 a collision occurred involving a grey Honda Civic and a black Range Rover on the A31 at the junction with Bere Road.

The driver of the Range Rover and a passenger were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.

The occupants of the Honda were treated at the scene by the ambulance service for minor injuries.

Police Constable Simon Hatch, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and would ask any motorists who saw what happened to please come forward.

“I understand a dark-coloured transit-style vehicle was in the area at the time of the collision and I would ask the driver to please come forward as you may have important information to assist my investigation.

“Finally, I would urge anyone who was travelling on the A31 at the relevant time and has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check for any footage.”
