Woman suffers fractured collar bone during assault in Poole

Detectives investigating an assault on a woman in Poole are asking for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday 22 March 2022 an altercation occurred between the victim and a man near to the traffic lights and shops on Wimborne Road in Oakdale.

During the altercation it is reported that the man pushed the victim, causing her to fall to the ground and fracture her collar bone. The incident was reported to Dorset Police on Friday 1 April 2022.

The victim – a local woman aged in her 20s – and the suspect are said to be known to each other.

Detective Constable Holly Sexton, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of the Oakdale traffic lights on Wimborne Road at the relevant time and witnessed this incident to please contact Dorset Police. 

“I would also ask motorists who may have been travelling along that road at the time to please check their dashcam to see if they captured anything of relevance.”
