Officers investigating a robbery in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 6.30pm on Tuesday 22 February 2022 the victim, a 14-year-old boy was with a friend on Chaseside near to the Littledown Centre when they were approached by a group of teenagers. The victim was pushed by one of the group and his AirPod headphones were stolen.

The group left the scene and a short time later a man confronted them near to the astro turf pitches at the rear of the sports centre and was threatened by a member of the group.

Police Constable Alice Fay, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this matter and I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please come forward.

“There were a number of people in the area at the time and I understand a number of cars stopped by the initial incident and people were believed to be capturing it on mobile phone cameras.

“I would urge anyone with any images or footage of the incident not to share it on social media and to please contact us.”
