A 17-year-old boy has been charged and has appeared in court in connection with a reported serious assault in Poole.

Four men are also due to appear in court to face a charge of affray in relation to the incident in Prosperous Street on Sunday 19 May 2019.

Dorset Police was called to the area at around 12.20am following reports a local man aged in his 30s had sustained stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old boy from Poole has been charged with wounding with intent, affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and has appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 24 October 2019.

Four men – a 41-year-old from Poole and three men aged 22, 25 and 50 of no fixed abode – have been issued with postal requisitions to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 11 October 2019 for an offence of affray.
