68 year old man with serious injuries following collision in Weymouth

Officers are investigating a serious injury road traffic collision in Weymouth and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident, which involved a Ford Fiesta and a white electrically assisted pedal cycle, happened just after 10.19pm on Tuesday 20 December 2022 in Dorchester Road.

The rider of the pedal cycle, a 68-year-old local man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the traffic unit, said: “I urge any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please contact us to assist our investigation.

“Also, I would like to thank the public for their understanding whilst the road remained closed.”
