Officers investigating a burglary near Wimborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 6.30pm on Thursday 25 June 2020 it is reported that a man was seen climbing out of a window of a property on Cockerell Close. 

A number of items of jewellery were discovered to have been stolen, including silver earrings, two silver Pandora bracelets, a charm bracelet, a gold necklace, gold earrings, gold horseshoe bracelet, a gold sovereign ring and a Swarovski bracelet and necklace set. 

The man is described as white, six feet one inch tall and of average build with a bald head and a missing front tooth. He was described as wearing a white and black top, black shorts and was carrying an orange Sainsbury’s carrier bag. 

Police Community Support Investigator Dan Cammell, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“Enquiries are underway into this incident and I would urge anyone who has been offered any jewellery for sale matching the descriptions given in unusual circumstances to please contact police.”
