Poole man arrested following abuse and assault of man who suffers from cerebral palsy

Following an incident in February

Officers investigating an incident where a disabled man was reportedly abused and spat at in Poole have made an arrest.

It was reported that the victim, a man who suffers from cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, was verbally abused by another man in Terence Avenue at around 12.40pm on Tuesday 2 February 2021. The man allegedly spat at the victim, with his saliva making contact with their wheelchair.

Following enquiries, a 26-year-old Poole man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and an aggravated public order offence. He has been released under investigation as officers carry out further enquiries.
