In March, Amsterdam Market on the Esplanade was raided, and members of the operation took out large amounts of vapes and tobacco.

This morning, officers from Weymouth NPT assisted Dorset Council Trading Standards in executing a successful warrant at Amsterdam Market. A number of items were seized, including vape products, chewing tobacco, and lighters.

In their statement, they said that they ‘continue to work with our partners to disrupt these operations to ensure that products sold in the shops are safe for use by the public’.

Many people on social media appear to be saying the same thing:

‘It’s actually ridiculous that these shops are still allowed to be open! How many times do they need to be caught ?!’

‘Isn’t it about time this place was shut down? How many time has this been turned over? Now they clearly don’t listen and this will happen again.’

However, some believe in the ‘free market’ and do not see anything as illegal.
