Officers searching for a missing vulnerable man from Poole are appealing for help from the public to find him.

Adrian John Gwinnett, aged 69, was reported missing to Dorset Police at 8.28am today, Monday 3 December 2018 after it was discovered that he was not at his home address on Mayfield Avenue.

It is out of character for him not to have returned and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

He is described as white, around five feet eleven inches tall and of slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue anorak, black trousers and black trainers. He may also be wearing a red woollen hat.

Chief Inspector Heather Dixey, of Dorset Police, said: “We are extremely concerned for Adrian’s welfare and I am urging anyone who recognises him from the photo or description provided, or who has any information as to his whereabouts, to contact us.

“Adrian gets confused easily and we also believe he left his home without taking his insulin and has no money or mobile phone.

“We are currently carrying out searches in the Poole and Bournemouth area and have also requested assistance from the NPAS helicopter.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 3:65. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
