Bournemouth Man With Life Threatening Injuries Following Collision

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury collision in Bournemouth.

A report was received at 1.18pm on Tuesday 4 March 2025 of a collision involving a red Vauxhall Mokka and a red Triumph motorbike on Wimborne Road in Winton.

The rider of the motorbike – a man aged in his 60s from Bournemouth – was taken to hospital for treatment with life-threatening injuries. His family has been informed.

The driver of the car did not sustain any serious injuries.

Road closures were put in place while emergency services safely dealt with the incident and carried out an examination of the scene.

Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway into the collision and I am really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.

“Also, if you were driving along Winton High Street at the time of the collision and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage please get in touch.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
