CCG describe the tens of thousands opposed to closing Poole A&E as ’emotional’

We were asked on South Today this lunchtime about seeking leave to Appeal. The CCG say money is being wasted by them fighting Dorset residents. We agree.

We say please pay proper attention to the risk to residents: a Dorset A&E Dr says 180 per year will die due to longer journeys in an emergency to access help once Poole A&E is downgraded and Poole Maternity is closed.

By labelling 75,570 residents signing petitions against the changes ’emotional’ and discounting their signatures, it was the CCG who forced residents to seek a legal remedy to protect our lives and services.
