The incident is reported to have occurred at around 2.30am on Saturday 24 August 2019 in Commercial Road. The victim, a woman aged in her 20s, was approached by a group of men and assaulted by one of them and thrown to the ground.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury. She was discharged from hospital later the same day.

Police Constable Jessica Richmond, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and have obtained CCTV images of the suspect.

“We have so far been unable to identify him and I am appealing to any members of the public who may recognise this man to please contact us.

“I appreciate the image is not of the best quality but it may be that someone is able to recognise the suspect from his build and the clothing he is wearing.”
