A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal in relation to a report of an assault in West Dorset.

At around 4.10pm on Sunday 2 January 2022 the male victim was in the garden of an address in the Halstock area when his dogs ran out into a nearby lane.

The dogs barked at a man who was running in the area and it is reported that he then entered the garden and began shouting at the victim, before grabbing him by his clothing and pushing him.

The victim fell on to the floor and hit his head. He sustained a cut to his ear and neck pain.

Following a CCTV appeal, a man has come forward and is helping officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
