Detectives investigating a burglary in Bournemouth are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.

At 10.30pm on Thursday 30 August 2018 Dorset Police received a report from a homeowner who was away from their residence in Glenferness Avenue and had been alerted by a doorbell video camera to someone at his property at around 9.40pm.

The victim, a man aged in his 60s, received a further report at around 9.50pm from his alarm company following an activation at his house.

Officers attended the scene and saw a silver vehicle making off at speed down Cawdor Road. It was established that entry had been forced to the property through a window but nothing appeared to have been taken.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries into this burglary and have made efforts to identify the man, who was captured on the victim’s doorbell video and on CCTV.

“These efforts have so far been unsuccessful and I am now releasing the images in the hope that someone might know this man. He has particularly distinctive tattoos that someone might recognise.

“I would urge anyone with information about his identity to please contact police.”
