Officers investigating a garage burglary in North Dorset are issuing a CCTV image of a vehicle linked to the offence.

The homeowners were out when the burglary occurred at a property in Manston near Sturminster Newton at around 11.30am yesterday, Wednesday 8 May 2019.

CCTV from the address showed a white transit twin cab truck park outside the address at the time of the incident. It had ‘Homegro Tree Surgeons’ written on the side and hatch markings with ‘Motorway Maintenance’ written on the back.

Two men – described as white, aged in their early 20s and of slim to medium build – came from the vehicle and entered the garage. Two Boardman mountain bikes – a silver men’s bike and a black and pink ladies bike – were stolen as well as a Makita drill, a Worx saw and a Makita site radio.

Inspector Simon Perry, of North Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out an investigation to identify the suspects for this burglary.

“As part of this investigation, we are issuing an image of the distinctive vehicle that was seen outside the address at the time of the burglary. I would urge anyone with any information about this vehicle or the burglary to contact us.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who comes across any items matching the descriptions of those stolen being offered for sale.”
