Officers investigating the suspected fraudulent use of bank cards in the Poole area are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

The victim, a woman aged in her 70s, believes she dropped her purse while she was shopping at Wimborne Market on Saturday 30 March 2019.

The purse contained two bank cards, which were subsequently used at various locations in Upton, Hamworthy and Creekmoor as well as Kinson in Bournemouth between around 1.45pm and 4pm that same day, with a total of six transactions totalling more than £170.

Police Constable Kristy Heron, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been making enquiries into this incident and I have now obtained CCTV images from one of the stores in Upton of the man who is believed to have used one of the cards.

“I would urge anyone who recognises this man or who has information as to his identity to please contact us.”
