Detectives continuing to investigate a serious assault in Bournemouth town centre are issuing CCTV images of the suspects.

The assault occurred in the early hours of Friday 9 August 2019, with a 50-year-old local man sustaining serious head injuries.

Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service at 3.25am that a man had been assaulted at The Triangle and was being taken to hospital for treatment. His condition was not life-threatening.

The victim had been approached by a group of people, one of whom punched him to the head, causing him to fall to the ground face first. While he was unconscious, the group stole the victim’s bank card and mobile phone.

Detective Constable Paul Craig, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and have obtained CCTV images of the suspects, but our efforts to identify them have so far been unsuccessful.

“While I appreciate the images are not of the best quality, I am appealing to members of the public for anyone who recognises them to please contact us.”
