What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than enjoying some talented musicians playing music from Elgar to Vivaldi, and to also support a great local cause. The Hepplewhite players, Hetti Price (cello) and Amy Littlewood (violin) are kindly donating their time for a concert in aid of Dorset Mind (the local mental charity).

Anna Windett, a Trustee at Dorset Mind, said “Dorset Mind would like to thank Hetti and Amy for donating their time to support us and Bournemouth University for providing the venue. We are affiliated to national Mind but all our funding is done locally.  1 in 6 experience mental health problems at any one time, which is equivalent to 130,000 people in Dorset. We want to do more to support those with mental health issues and events like this are incredibly important to allow us do so.”

The event will be presented by Dr Andrew Mayers, a psychologist at Bournemouth University and Patron for Dorset Mind. Dr Mayers said “I am honoured to host this concert at Bournemouth University, and present it on behalf of Dorset Mind. In addition to raising much need funds to operate our services, this is a great opportunity to promote awareness about mental health.”

The event will be held at the Allesbrook Theatre at Bournemouth University on Sunday 5th June, 3pm-5pm. Tickets can be purchased online at https://tinyurl.com/zljo42b  or for £10 from Dorset Mind or at the door.
