Looking for some exciting ideas for a fun family day out in the New Year? Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre is having a January sale where a range of gifts, ornaments, books and toys will be available to buy. There will also be an animal arts & crafts activity area for all the creative youngsters who want to get involved.

The sales will start on Saturday 5th of January and continue every day until the Sunday 13thof January and will run from 10am to 4pm.

The Centre, with a stunning location on the edge of the Fleet lagoon,is run by Dorset Wildlife Trust on behalf of a partnership including Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, the Jurassic Coast Team, the Chesil Bank and the Fleet Nature Reserve, with the continued help of local volunteers.

Marc Smith, Chesil Centre Officer at Dorset Wildlife Trust, said: “Our January Sale is a great way to start the New Year. Profits from the shop go back into our important conservation work. So come and visit us. Treat yourself and support your local wildlife at the same time!   

This is the first year Chesil has run this January event and it’s a great opportunity to visit the newly refurbished centre and discover the wildlife of the Fleet lagoon and world famous Chesil Bank.”
