Check rubbish, food and recycling collections over Christmas and New Year

There will be no rubbish, food or recycling collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day

  • Catch-up collections are scheduled to include three Saturdays: 22 and 29 December and 5 January.
  • Please check the table below to find out when your bin will be collected – in some cases this will be BEFORE your usual collection date.

Extra rubbish

Can be taken to Millhams Community Recycling Centre or Christchurch Recycling Centre. Both sites are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Extra recycling

Will be collected if you place it next to your recycling bin in a cardboard box. Or you can use a recycling sack, available from Bournemouth libraries.

Christmas trees

Local charity Diverse Abilities will collect your Christmas tree in some areas, for a small donation Check if they are collecting in your area and arrange collection
