This election is our opportunity to let those in government know that we care about the NHS. That we care about what happens to it. We care about the services we receive and the staff who provide it.

We cannot afford to take it for granted. This government is starving the NHS of the funds it requires and handing more and more of it over to private companies such as Capita and Virgin Care. This places us in grave danger of returning to healthcare for those who can afford it.

Across Dorset, we are facing unsustainable cuts and underfunding which threaten our A & E departments, maternity services and GP services. The Green Party calls for an end to privatisation, and locally, as the only opposition in Bournemouth, I will stand up for and fight for an NHS which cares for us when we need it, when our children need it and when our children’s children need it.

We have to let the government know, when it is elected on June 8th, that the NHS is not a cash cow for private companies. Use your vote in Bournemouth to tell your MP how important the NHS is to you and after the election, continue to hold them to account.
