The Bridport Chamber of Commerce, and business marketing specialists Marketing West, recently held one of their monthly networking breakfasts, at Groves Ivy House in Bridport.

A range of businesses heard Chris Conroy from the Dorset Police Cyber Crime Unit advise on what companies need to do to protect themselves. During his presentation, he confirmed that cybercrime continues to rise with a 10.7% year on year increase.

Said Nigel Reeve of Marketing West “Businesses still believe it won’t happen to them but unfortunately in many cases, it will. With just a bit more thought, we could slow down the growth in this crime. We just need to think a bit more about the problem.”
