Snapchat has automatically updated to add a feature called ‘stalk my friends’ which enables users to ‘see’ exactly where others are and even what they are doing, possibly without their knowledge. This can be avoided by using ‘ghost mode’ to hide the information. Could potentially be a safeguarding issue if young people have ‘false friends’ with dubious motives. I am not a snapchat user so this may be incomplete information. Anyone who can add or elucidate further, please do.
