On the 18th March I will have been on this planet 55 years.

To mark this occasion I want to do something different. This year I am donating my birthday to the Dorset Community Foundation.

What does this entail? Well, all you lovely friends and family who would normally buy me cards or presnts, can I ask you please to make a donation to the Dorset Community Foundation instead.

I work with a lot of charities and it is hard to choose one over another, but the Dorset Community Foundation gives mostly small grants to the heart of communities in the County. Nearly £11 million since 2002 in fact. It makes a real difference to smaller charities.

So, please consider supporting them for my birthday and whether you do or not please share this message.

Thank you.

Old Gary!
