The Big Green Event Expo, run by the Southern Sustainability Partnership from Poole in Dorset, is set to open its doors for the third year running on October 2nd.
A regional event, just outside Southampton, it has earned its place as the largest event of its type in the region, attracting buyers from right across the UK. Held at the Hilton Ageas Bowl at the home to Hampshire Cricket, the Expo is designed to demonstrate a well-rounded look at environmental and facilities management solutions and expertise. This is achieved through three areas of exhibition space, an influential keynote speaker theatre, free workshops in the 2018 LearnZone and an eco transport showcase complete with test drive opportunities. New highlights for the 2018 expo will include an Innovation Hub, subsidised by the organisers to help fast-track new products to market. As well as an ‘Office of Tomorrow – Today’ feature as part of the shows continuing focus on the changing expectations of customers and staff in the 21st century.
Director, Anita Potten enthuses over the lineup of keynote presenters this year: “We are delighted to confirm that the Vice President of the British Plastics Association and leading renewable energy electricity provider, Ecotricity will be among this years lineup. It’s vitally important for businesses to get on board with this agenda and we urge our fellow Dorset businesses to join us on the day.”
Director, Lynda Daniels: Despite the increased methods of connecting buyers with suppliers today, a leading procurement specialist reports it has become harder to do so now than in the last thirty years. Events of this type, though seemingly traditional in their approach, remain one of the most powerful business tools that bring an industry sector together – under one roof in the most cost and time efficient way.”
Visitors can expect free entry to the Expo, as well as a free educational line up in the LearnZone and free parking.  Doors open from 10.00am to 4.00pm at the Hilton Ageas Bowl, West End, Southampton – with its easy road and rail links.
