As part of Dementia Action Week, Encore Care Homes is holding a free dementia awareness seminar at Great Oaks care home in Bournemouth, on Thursday, May 24 from 2.00-4.00pm.

Open to members of the public, the seminar will be presented by Mark Harrison, an award-winning dementia specialist from Informed Dementia Care. Using an interactive presentation, Mark will explain some of the complex behaviours of dementia, identify coping strategies that can help people to gain a deeper understanding. There will also be the opportunity to ask Mark any questions you may have after the seminar.

Mark has more than twenty years’ experience within the dementia care profession and is a qualified Alzheimer’s Café organiser.
