Estimated non-EU net migration is 227,000 a year—the highest level recorded since 2011

Whilst EU migration has fallen to its lowest recorded level since 2013 non EU net migration is at its highest for 7 years. For those who chose to leave the EU over immigration they have merely substituted one bloc with another much larger aggregate population. The Brexiters on the right have completely defrauded those people who succumbed to their rhetoric.

The reasons for entering the UK also suggest that whereas EU nationals were coming in greater numbers to take up work this is less so with non EU nationals.

For those who succumbed to the Farage; Rees-Mogg; Gove; Davis and Johnson… narrative by leaving the EU the issue is about to become much more pronounced.
