Poppy Lawes was last seen at around 11am today, Thursday 26 July 2018, at her home address in Cobham Road.

She is described as white, five feet tall with short dark hair. She is wearing a white T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and blue trainers.

Officers are currently searching the local area and conducting house-to-house enquiries. The dog unit and drone unit are also supporting the search.

Chief Inspector Alan Setchell, of Dorset Police, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Poppy’s welfare due to her young age and the fact that she has not gone missing before.

“It is entirely plausible she may have gone out to play with friends and we continue to make enquiries in that regard, however it is very unlike her not to tell her parents where she is going.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen a girl matching her description or knows of Poppy’s whereabouts to please get in touch with Dorset Police urgently.

“Poppy’s family is very worried about her and wants to know she is safe and well.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Poppy’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 26:190.
