Colonel (Ret) Bart Howard served in the US Army for 27 years and commanded every Armoured formation from Platoon to Brigade. 
During Operations Desert Shield and Storm, he commanded B Company 3rd Battalion, 67th Armour, of the 2nd Armoured Division. B Company spearheaded the assault of the Al Mutla Ridge, better known as the `Highway of Death` outside Kuwait City. In this lecture, he will reflect on the transformation of Armoured units after Vietnam, the training revolution of the Cold War and the timeless experience and camaraderie of being a “Tanker” in Desert Storm.
