All 8 constituencies in the county are Tory.

Apart from the odd travail the county generally has a ‘support the local landowner’ mentality which of course is very frustrating for those who don’t.

Thus to find this on the wall of a pub deep within the Dorset countryside is not a surprise.

Where in Dorset?

The Three Horseshoes Inn at Powerstock to be precise. Described on its website as ‘The “Shoes” Three Horseshoes Inn dates back to 1906, providing food and accommodation in a beautiful rural setting. The pub is situated in picturesque Powerstock, just outside the market town of Bridport.’

Incidentally the West Dorset constituency has only ever had Tory MP’s.

I am not saying for one moment that this is representative of the owner’s opinions but I am saying that there are many pubs… across the country where no one would dream of putting it on the wall.

Tug your forelock land is alive and well folks and does not look like changing any time soon.
