Cartoon de Salvo’s new work The Powercut Compendium tours to rural communities this spring

A tech-savvy theatre company, fresh from the city, begin their latest touring show when the room is plunged into sudden darkness. Is it a blow-out – or something more mysterious?

Cartoon de Salvo (Meat & Two Veg and The Chaingang Gang) have made shows everywhere from local allotments to Soho Theatre and the Kennedy Center Washington. Now, drawing upon their fifteen years of taking theatre to village halls, their new show ‘The Powercut Compendium’ promises rural audiences their trademark mix of exceptional storytelling, gorgeous live music and swashbuckling adventure

Cartoon de Salvo Theatre wears its heart on its sleeve, likes an adventure and never forgets that the audience is the number one reason for putting on the show. The company has always loved rural touring, believing it provides a night out unlike anything else. Director for The Powercut Compendium, Neil Haigh says:
