Extra special prize up for grabs in this year’s Momentum Cycle Challenge

The Momentum Cycle Challenge is now underway in Bournemouth. As businesses and employers battle it out for the title of cycling champion staff are getting excited about exclusive prizes up for grabs in this year’s competition.

Now in its second year, the Momentum Cycle Challenge is a free and fun workplace competition, organised by Bournemouth Borough Council with Challenge for Change, which aims to get as many employees as possible out and about on their bikes.

If you work for a company based in Bournemouth then you can win some fantastic prizes just by riding, or encouraging friends and colleagues to ride, a bike for as little as 10 minutes between 8 and 28 September.

Among the coveted prizes up for grabs is a one of a kind jersey, signed by Team GB cyclists, which will be awarded to the Challenge’s ‘Top Encourager’. To be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize all you need to do is sign up for the Challenge at www.lovetoride.net/momentumand encourage as many people as you can to get on a bike. As an extra incentive, those who encourage non-cyclists to take part will automatically be rewarded with free cinema tickets.

Councillor Michael Filer, Cabinet Member for Transport, said “We’re trying to encourage more people to cycle in and around Bournemouth, as part of the town’s largest travel campaign to date.

“The Momentum Cycle Challenge is a fantastic way to get more people on their bikes, whether you’re new to cycling or already enjoy cycling for work or leisure purposes.  I would encourage any Bournemouth employee to join the Challenge and enjoy the benefits of riding a bike.”

There are also plenty of other opportunities to win throughout the Challenge including three bikes, Lush gift boxes and free gym membership! To be in with a chance of winning simply cycle for just ten minutes and log your rides online at www.lovetoride.net/momentum.
