The Fit Christchurch Fun Day will take place on the Quomps at Christchurch Quay on Saturday 20 September from 11am to 4pm.

This year marks the sixth Family Fun Day which aims to exhibit and promote healthy lifestyle choices and provide opportunities for residents and visitors to try out a range of activities and have some fun.

Children can have fun on Zorbs, the bucking bronco and Battlefield Live as well as testing their skills on a climbing wall and penalty shoot-out.People with mobility difficulties can also try out walking football.

While many of the activities are free of charge, for six of them a small charge is being made. For just £2 for the whole day people can purchase a wristband which will give them unlimited access to the following: Battlefield Live, Zorbs, climbing wall, bouncy castle, bucking bronco and face painting.

Throughout the day a programme of displays is being planned and is likely to include taekwondo, zumba and Nordic walking.
