Fail to stop as lorry collides with house

Officers investigating a report of a fail-to-stop collision in West Dorset are appealing for anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report that at around 8am on Monday 8 February 2021 a lorry collided with a house in Parsons Lane in Askerswell, causing damage to the roof of the property. It was reported that the lorry failed to stop at the scene.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Police Constable Maddie Barber, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to identify the lorry involved in this collision and I would urge anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area on the morning of Monday 8 February and may have captured anything relevant on dashcam.”
